Bournemouth West Conservative Association are delighted with the appointment of Theresa May as our new Prime Minister, and wish her every success in bringing the country together.

Deputy Chairman Cllr Philip Broadhead commented: "We see in Theresa May the very embodiment of Conservative Values: with strong leadership, a real focus on unity and a burning desire to make our country as inclusive and forward thinking as possible. We face both a difficult but exciting period ahead, and we are confident that our new Prime Minister will be able to negotiate the best and fairest deal in our exit from the European Union, whilst not losing sight of bringing both the Party and country together. There are important decisions ahead, not least regarding the future role of Local Government, and we look forward to working closely with the PM along with the new Cabinet."
