Following discussions with BCP Council the local Conservative councillors have managed to get new signs put up in Westbourne.
The first is to Skerryvore, the site of the former home of R L Stevenson and a little jewel a short walk from the centre. Many people don't even know the site exist so it is great to have it brought to attention. It is cared for by a team of volunteers and the next session is 0930-1200 on the 19th April 2025. Do come along if you can lend a hand.
The second sign is for the Westbourne park children's play area, basically behind the old cinema building. Many we speak to have never seen it and don't know it exists. The local traders and Rotary are planning on tidying the area up the 2nd and 3rd May if you would like to lend a hand. Then it will be ready for the summer and welcoming to your children and grandchildren.
The third sign if for the ever important library. A great resource and used for many things, not just lending books. For those without home internet it is invaluable for accessing so many services that are now online.
