Michael Labidi grew up locally on Winston Avenue, raised by his mother in a prefab flat. That upbringing shaped who he is today, instilling resilience, a strong work ethic and a determination not to take opportunities for granted.
From a young age, Michael was driven to build something for himself. Through hard work and long hours, often working more than 80 hours a week, he has developed his own business from the ground up. His journey has not been easy, but it reflects his belief that with commitment and perseverance, it is possible to create something meaningful.
Michael has been actively involved in supporting local Conservative campaigns across Bournemouth West, working closely with residents, volunteers and fellow candidates. This experience has given him a strong understanding of the issues that matter most locally, from the condition of roads and public spaces to concerns around safety, housing and the cost of living.
He is now focused on the next step: opening a business on the High Street. For Michael, this is about more than growth, it is about giving something back to the area that has shaped him. He is passionate about helping to bring life back to the High Street and contributing to a stronger local community.
Giving back has always been central to his values. Over the years, he has raised thousands of pounds for local charities, including Bournemouth Foodbank, recognising first-hand how important that support can be to individuals and families.
Michael brings a practical and grounded approach to local politics. He believes that good representation starts with listening, being visible in the community, and following through on what residents say matters. His background and experience mean he understands the challenges people face and is committed to representing residents with energy, honesty and a focus on delivering real results.
