Jane has lived in Dorset for over 40 years. She is a retired teacher who has taught in Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset including 12 years as a deputy head teacher. Jane is now involved in a variety of volunteer roles including working with a local charity for victims of domestic violence, a governor at two schools and has been a volunteer marshal at Bournemouth vaccine centre for two years.
Previously a councillor in Poole, Jane brings much experience and enthusiasm to the Bournemouth West team with whom she has campaigned for many years. Whilst a councillor, she chaired Health and Adult Social Care Committee, sat on Children and Young People Committee plus Licensing Committee and was Dementia Champion. She is the secretary of Kinson branch, chairman of MDNPCA and was part of the successful Dorset PCC core campaign team.
Jane is married to David, a lecturer at Bournemouth University. Together they enjoy walking by our glorious beaches and touring the countryside with their caravan.
Jane’s work in both her professional and volunteering roles means she has the skills to be strong voice, communicating and representing local residents. Jane likes to get things done.
